To Mend the tenderness

Life is raw and tender.

Upholding our practices and staying connected to ourselves and to solid teachings seems increasingly important.

The sudden passing of a Kirtan brother, David Newman, reminds me of the mysterious and ephemeral nature of life.

Every moment is precious and fleeting. Don't wait to do that thing you long for–there is no guarantee of tomorrow.

I breathe, I pause. I breathe again. I move, I pause. I move again.I practice love, practice patience, practice truth.

Practice is EVERYTHING.

I turn 48 on Saturday, creeping just a little closer to half-a-century old.

Each revolution around the sun leads me to contemplate my service to the world and how I can add to the beauty in my brief time on this living and dynamic Earth.

I am leaning more heavily into ALL of my teachings.

These practices I have embraced have helped to make my life more successful--I am stronger and more vibrant, and I feel more empowered in all that I do.

They can create the most incredible difference in YOUR life too.
